July always heralds London Film & Comic Con returning to London at Olympia, this year I was in attendance yet again, although not in cosplay.

My goal over my two days was to meet some stars, get some pictures and generally try not to bankrupt myself on the merchandise.

Friday

This was by far my busiest day, with pictures with:

  • Walter Koenig
    • Known for his role as Chekov in Star Trek: The Original Series and Bester from Babylon 5
  • Joe Flannigan
    • Popularly known for his role as John Sheppard on Stargate: Atlantis
  • Jason Momoa
    • Huge star, literally, Aquaman, Ronin from Stargate: Atlantis, Game of Thrones
  • Adam Baldwin
    • Many will immediately recognise Adam from Firefly, Chuck or The Last Ship
  • Michael Shank
    • Again a Stargate SG-1 legend

For the first time in years of attending, two picture opportunities we awry, the first in the early afternoon with Walter Koenig, this though quickly rectified, even with Walter quipping, ‘Back again!’.  The later in the afternoon with Jason Momoa, when around 8 of us, coincidentally all one after each other in the queue didnt get a picture come out, it took several of us to point out the queue was gone, as was Jason and the printers had stopped, this led to them having to chase after Jason to ensure we had pictures, so a little miffied.

During the day in between pictures I managed to get all my autographs too, including several for a colleague at work.

All in all, a very busy, yet productive day

Saturday

So Saturday started up wet, having got soaking in the British summer time, so first port of call after getting a virtual queue for Charlie Sheen was to get a dry and warm top, thank you to Last Exit to Nowhere, now warm I realised I had no charger cable for the phone, packed the wrong one overnight, opps !  Thankfully Cobra Cables were in attendance and problem number 2 solved.

The only picture I was getting was Tom Ellis of Lucifer fame, so I took my time wander around getting pictures of the amazing cosplayers, chatting with people, or playing on green screen.
